Pick a day that suits you and we’ll confirm the time by text or call within one business day. Most visits take about 30 minutes. Afterwards you get a written, itemized estimate you can read on your phone and sign online — no obligation.
What happens at the visit
The owner comes out — the same person who prices the job and is on site when it’s built. It’s a working visit, not a sales call.
- We measure. Walls, ceilings, openings and floor areas, so the estimate is priced on real numbers rather than a guess.
- We look at what’s underneath. Plaster or drywall, lath, brick party walls, old patches, moisture and staining. In a Philadelphia rowhome that’s usually where the surprises hide.
- We talk options. Level 4 or Level 5 finish, skim coat versus tear-out, paint sheens, flooring types, phasing the work around your family or tenants.
- No pressure, no charge. You get the written estimate within about two business days of the visit and decide on your own time. If it isn’t a fit, no hard feelings.
Bring or prepare
- A clear idea of what you want done — and anything you’re unsure about. Half-formed plans are fine; we’ll help you finish them.
- Photos of the trouble spots if the damage comes and goes (a ceiling stain that only shows after rain, for example).
- Access to the rooms involved, plus the basement or attic if the job touches ceilings, leaks or framing.
- Any paint colors, tile or flooring samples you’ve already picked, if you have them.
Before you book
Is the site visit really free?
Yes. The visit and the written estimate cost nothing and don’t commit you to anything. We’d rather see the walls than price them blind — it makes the number honest for both of us. If you go ahead, the deposit is 25% and the balance is due on completion after you’ve walked the job with us.
Do I need to be home?
Someone who can let us in and answer a few questions is ideal — you, a family member, a tenant or a property manager. If you can’t be there, tell us in the notes and we’ll arrange access and follow up by phone with what we found. For rentals and small commercial spaces we regularly meet a manager on site.
How soon can you come out?
Usually within a few days of your request, sometimes sooner for repairs and leaks. Pick the earliest day that works and we’ll confirm within one business day; if that day is full we’ll offer the nearest one that isn’t. Visits run Monday to Saturday, morning or afternoon.
