Where we work

CIG Construction works in Philadelphia and the suburbs within about 25 miles of the city — Montgomery, Delaware and Bucks counties, including the Main Line. If your address is near the edge of that circle, ask. We’ll tell you straight whether it makes sense for us to come out.

Philadelphia neighborhoods

The city is where most of our work is. Rowhomes, twins, converted trinities, corner stores turned into offices — we’re in these houses every week. If your neighborhood isn’t listed, we almost certainly still cover it; the list is just the places we’re asked about most.

Suburbs

Montgomery County

The Main Line and the towns along the Schuylkill and Route 309. Older stone and brick homes with plaster walls, plus plenty of newer drywall that needs repair, a skim coat or a fresh paint job.

  • Narberth

  • Plymouth Meeting

Delaware County

West and southwest of the city, from Upper Darby out to Media. Lots of twins and singles from the 1920s through the 1960s — plaster on the older ones, drywall on the rest, and basements that were never finished the first time.

  • Upper Darby
  • Drexel Hill
  • Havertown
  • Media
  • Springfield
  • Broomall
  • Swarthmore
  • Lansdowne

Bucks County

Lower and Central Bucks along I-95 and Route 1. Levittown-era ranches and Cape Cods, newer developments, and older homes in the boroughs. Doylestown is about the far edge of where we regularly travel.

Why local matters

We know how Philly houses are built

Drywall and finishing is a local trade whether anyone admits it or not. A crew that works in newer suburbs all year will be surprised by a 1910 rowhome. We’re not.

  • Rowhome plaster — three-coat plaster over wood lath, often with a century of paint on it. We know when to skim, when to patch and when a wall genuinely needs to come down.
  • Party walls — the brick wall you share with your neighbor moves, cracks and holds moisture differently than a framed wall. We finish it so it stays finished.
  • Parking, permits and street logistics — permit parking, no-loading blocks, tight stairwells and no yard for a dumpster. We plan around it so you don’t get a ticket or a mess on the sidewalk.
  • Old lath, stone foundations, uneven framing — we shim, float and furr before we hang, because a flat wall starts underneath.
  • City permits — when a job needs L&I, we pull it. When it doesn’t, we tell you.
